2026 – 2027 roadmap
We have ambitious goals for the next three years. Here is exactly what we plan to do, how much it will cost, and how you can help make it happen.
Friends of Gambia is growing. With your continued support, we aim to double our impact by 2027 — reaching more communities, sinking more boreholes, and building lasting infrastructure that will serve generations to come. Every project below has been identified, scoped, and costed. We are ready to begin as soon as funding is secured.
Fundraising2026–2027We have identified 10 villages in the Central and Upper River Regions that have no reliable clean water source within 5km. Each borehole will serve approximately 500 people. We plan to install solar-powered pumps for year-round reliability.

Fundraising2026–2027A Masjid in Bakau, Western Region has been assessed and requires urgent structural repairs. This restoration will preserve a vital community space for worshippers in the area.

Future project
Thousands of families across The Gambia face food insecurity every day. Our food parcel programme delivers essential supplies — rice, oil, and staple goods — directly to vulnerable households who need it most.
We are expanding this programme as part of our 2026–2027 plans, reaching more families in rural and urban communities throughout the country.
